Everest in 1953.

The 17-day long trek to Everest base camp ensures an awesome experience and great challenges that every trekkers dream of making one of your best ultimate adventure of life. Everest Base camp trek offers an opportunity to ascend Base camp and Kala Patthar (5545m) viewpoint to relish the breathtaking view of world’s tallest mountain Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8485m) Mt Pumori (7161m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6812m, Cho-Oyu (8201m) and many other stunning mountains. Everest Base camp trek also provides the view of the Khumbu Glacier and the Icefall. The trail to Everest base camp also takes through the Sagarmatha National Park where the trekkers get chance to explore the rich vegetation of flora and fauna, wildlife such as Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer, Danphe (National bird), etc. Beside the mountain views and wildlife, Everest Base camp trek also open up to different picturesque Sherpa Villages of Khumbu Region with their own unique culture and tradition. Trip Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Pick up at Tribhuvan International Airport. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2:  Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

We explore the Kathmandu visiting Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Patan Durbar Square. Later in the evening, we discuss the trek details and preparations. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3:  Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m): 40 minutes flight; 3 - 4 hours trek

We take our 40-minute flight to Lukla enjoying the stunning view of Mountain peaks throughout the flight. After landing, we start our trek descending towards Phakding passing Cheplung village on our way. Upon reaching Phakding, we can see the view of Mt. Khumbila. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 4:  Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m): 5 - 6 hours

We move alongside the bank of Dudh Koshi River. Passing through Chumoa Village we reach Sagarmatha National Park. Trekking up further we arrive at Namche Bazaar. Overnight at lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5:  Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m)

We take a day for acclimatization at Namche Bazaar adjusting ourselves to high altitude. We explore Namche Bazaar, strolling the markets, shops, cafes and take a short hike to Hotel Everest View to relish the stunning panorama view of Legendary Everest. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 6:  Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m): 5- 6 hours

We trek alongside the Dudh Koshi River passing across the monasteries, Chortens and prayers flag on our way. We continue trekking uphill to reach Tengboche. We visit Tengboche monastery surrounded by beautiful mountains. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 7:  Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m): 5 - 6 hours

Crossing the Suspension bridge above Imja Khola and passing Pangboche village we arrive at Dingboche. Dingboche also was known as Summer Valley is a Sherpa village from where we can see the view of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Island Peak. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

Day 8:  Dingboche: Acclimatization

We take out another day from our trek for acclimatization due to high altitude. We walk up to Nangkartshang Hill where we can get the panorama view of breathtaking Himalayas. We walk back to Dingboche for an overnight stay.

Day 9:  Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m): 2 - 4 hours

We trek along the Khumbu Glacier moraine relishing the view of mountain peaks like Khumbutse, Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren and Pumori on our way to Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.

Day 10:  Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m): 6-7 hours

We trek towards Gorak Shep walking through the alpine forests. From Gorak Shep, we trek in icy glacier surface all the way to the top of the edge, arriving at Everest Base Camp. We are rewarded with the sight of Khumbu icefall and the eye-catching view of Everest, Khumbutse, and Lingtren Mountain. We trek back to Gorak Shep to stay overnight.

Day 11:  Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) to Pheriche (4,288m): 7-8 hours

We leave early morning to climb Kala Patthar, which offers the awe-inspiring view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and the other Himalayas that are above 6,800m. We then trek downhill to Pheriche for an overnight stay.

Day 12:  Pheriche to Tengboche (3,870m): 5- 6 hours

We retrace our trail to Tengboche still enjoying the beautiful landscapes and view of the Himalayas behind us. Overnight at Tengboche.

Day 13:  Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m): 6 - 7 hours

We walk through a dense forest filled with oaks, pines, and rhododendron then pass across several Sherpa villages, experiencing their unique culture we arrive at Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14:  Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m): 6 - 7 hours

For our last day trek, we hike towards Lukla descending along the steep trail and crossing the suspension bridge over a river. We also trek past villages, Mani walls, Chortens, and gompas. Walking through rhododendron forest we reach Lukla. Overnight at Lodge

Day 15:  Fly to Kathmandu

We catch our flight to Kathmandu from Lukla relishing the panoramic view of Himalayas. We will transfer you back to your Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16:  Free day in Kathmandu and farewell dinner

We let you have a free day after a tiring journey. You can stroll through the streets of Kathmandu and buy souvenirs to take back home. We treat you with farewell dinner in a local Nepali restaurant with cultural program.

Day 17:  Final departure

We will drop you at Tribhuvan International airport approximately 3 hrs. before scheduled flight.
